I said it since Gavin Reddit that PB needs to be a dues paying organization with the dues going into a general fund for anything from legal defense to lawyers to pursue legal action. There needed to be a charity wing for good publicity donating to foodbanks and homeless shelters. Active dues paying keeps people whom are legit, and whenever some one dressed in PB gear was conveniently photographed causing trouble you could quickly disavow as a plant or a fraud.
PBoys are run by retards who just want to fight, an "OwN tHe LiBs" and have zero thought about direction or future of the organization, nor the protection of their own members. And they were laughing when they got flagged by Canada as a terrorist organization, but too stupid to realize 5 Eyes intel sharing means the FBI can now spy on them by way of Canada just as easy as if they'd been flagged here in the US. Likely every identified member is having their email snooped right now, the name is radioactive as fuck.
Why not make them a religious group? No taxes. And legal protections. Like Scientologists, but cool.

Yes you can plant anyone in anything, dues paying or not but you're going to have a name associated with it, along with vetting, which is far better than some random jackass throwing on Fred Perry and taking photos waving nazi memorabilia, which has happened, and no one knew who the fuck it was and couldn't confirm or deny. Dues paying also ties the ID to a credit card, if a plant wants to out himself waving nazi flags while leaving his real name with credit card on file the he's about as bright as you are.

Back in the day when i was still in highschool we created "the BT", it was officially called "the BBQ team" and we posed in pictures with BBQ's and we did charitable things.
Donated a bench to the local park with funds we raised at a "free" car wash, did a food drive, did tons of stuff

Your idea of doing charitable things, even if it is just fake as fuck for PR... accomplishes two things. it creates cover from haters, but i think more importantly it does actually bolster fellowship/brotherhood in the group. coming together to accomplish goals, even if it's silly, creates unity.
i also agree with you about the dues... it keeps the riffraff out. it doesn't have to be a lot of money but it should be enough to "prove" you're serious about contributing to the group and give you some sort of legal defense fund.
i'd take it a step further, develop a business that can be ran under a different name that can siphon funds to the group without having cancel cancer come after them.
there are plenty of ways to do this... just need some creative thinking and some funding from within.
i mean honestly a group of people can sit around a bonfire with a fat joint and some good beer and come up with a dozen business ideas in an hour or two.
taking it from a targeted group of hangout guys to a semi-shielded and well funded org is the right move.
as someone suggested in the other spin-off topic... creating a "religion" or adopting an old forgotten one isn't a bad idea either.
with a church as cover all your business plans can be disguised as "community outreach funding" or whatever.
