So blah blah long time fan who listened to all of Group Hug long before Censored.tv. I had some questions read on the GH podcast in exchange for donations and I was glad to do it. I love the show and think Jims work is amazing. Admittedly I have only read the Redneck Manifesto but I can appreciate how data-driven it is. And I only say this as a half-way explanation that I am a legitimate fan of Goad and really DO love what he does.

Anyways...

I'm watching Beef Squad, Episode 12: Hatin' on Hitler and at 24:08 of this episode, Jim brings up that JB mentioned how he was "complimented by a nigress this week" and JB goes into explaining at 25:07 how he held a door for a lady at a gas station and while at the check out, how the black woman said "you one of the finest men I have seen since I can remember" to which he responded "Yeah, I do alright for a white guy" and then she said "Honey I didn't say anything about you being white".

Like I said, I have consumed every Group Hug podcast and J.B. has told this story before, Almost verbatim. And what seems like at least a year ago.

So here's the thing. There are ~100 episodes of GH. But there are fewer episodes where JB co-hosted. But it's still well into the double digits and the episodes are usually about an hour long +/-.

I am going to re-listen to Group Hug from start to finish but it will take me probably a month as I listen casually. And i'm not doing it to specifically spite JB. I really don't care that much but the objective reality is that JB has told this story before. And maybe it happened a couple years ago or maybe it happened just "this week". But it's highly suspect that such a random encounter with almost identical dialog happened twice.

I'm not going to un-subscribe or anything crazy like that for such a minor inconsistency, But it's definitely not nothing... And anyone hardcore enough could comb over the later episodes of Group Hug and verify what i'm saying...

Anyways. What do you guys think?
