Gavin has said his grandfather or great grandfather, can't remember which, changed their last name to McInnes from McGinnis because it sounded too Irish for a Scotsman. If you put McInnes into any speech to text service which allows you to use a UK accent it pronounces as Gavin does. He was born in England as we all know.

Edit: Although, thinking about this it kind of bothers me, as I'm one of those people who find it incredibly annoying when Latinos pronounce certain words with a heavy accent in between perfectly normal American English... But fuck it, it's his name not "jalapenos."
