the coolest scene in the movie is phil collins in the air of the night playing over a slow motion montage of people hanging out and cruising up and down in front of willies burgers in harlem. money flying through the air, dice games going on, bad hoes, cool 90s bmws driving by. all in slow-mo with just “air of the night” playing.
youtube scrubbed the shit out of it, you used to be able to watch just that scene on youtube. now it’s a bunch of clips of almost* that scene... like there’s a homeade edit of scenes from the movie with the song playing, but that’s not how it is in the movie. the proper scene is only available with someone filming their tv screen.
just go watch “paid in full” immediately if you haven’t seen it. also watch “belly” if you haven’t seen that. they are basically black 90s gangster art flicks. like goodfellas but with 90s black gangster setting.
