Me neither. I have a stance on it though that literally pisses off everyone. I said it at work once and triggered a blue haired half shaved head 250lb woman so bad she was sent home for acting insane.
It was in early 2016 and there is a pro life girl in my office arguing with a multiple abortion obese girl who is for some reason super enthusiastic about getting abortions and how it is a women's issue about women's bodies and women should be allowed to have as many abortions as they want for free without consent of the father. They go back and forth and back and forth and then I put in my two cents that triggered tf out of her.
I said "as a libertarian, I am pro choice. I think that starting a family is a huge decision and up until a reasonable point I think that there is nothing terribly wrong with an abortion. It is definitely killing a baby, but it is not my baby so it is none of my business. That being said, I do not think it is a woman's issue. I think it is a family issue and a decision that the father should be involved with." She was starting to see red and making up these crazy scenarios about a guy raping a girl and forcing her to have a baby or something, or a frat guy forcing a woman to have an abortion. She was talking about how devastating both pregnancy and abortion is (they are always a victim) and how that makes it the woman's decision. I said "well, pregnancy is kinda only 9 months and for like 3 of them you probably are not even 100% sure if you are really pregnant. 6 months is not that big a deal, a father has to financially support the kid for 18 years, that is way harder." she was starting to boil, then I said with the thing that sent her into hysteria...
I said "ok, maybe there is a middle ground here that works for everyone... maybe since it is growing inside the woman's body, she probably should have the final say on if the baby is aborted or not, being forced into childbirth is kinda messed up and so is being forced to kill a baby that is living inside of you. That being said, I think that in that same window of time a woman can abort the baby, the father should also have the opportunity to 'abort his responsibility' and sign a form that says "I wanted an abortion, but the mother refused. I am permanently signing away any custody or responsibility for this human and the mother is aware of this decision".
She flipped at that idea... she kept going on about how "If a man doesn't want a baby, he should think twice about sleeping around!! NO! if he get's a woman pregnant and she want's to keep it, it is still his responsibility to provide for the mother and baby, he can't just weasel out of a kid!!!!" I asked "isn't that what the mother is doing by getting an abortion?" then she freaked out and my boss came in and told her to fuck off (he is kinda based). she was so embarrased, she lef tthe team and we all joke about that to this day. I am one of the only guys in my office and the other girls are always like "remember that time you triggered xxxx so bad about the abortion thing that she left the team? That was awesome."
I took the day off on election day 2016 because I wanted to watch it live and celebrate if Trump won, but I wish I went to work because I heard she got sent home again for throwing a huge tantrum after Trump won and screaming at everyone who said they voted for him and as a white girl had the balls to scream at my black coworker like he was a misbehaving pet because he said he liked Trump lol. She is a walking meme. roughly 5' tall, 250 lbs. Has blue hair, but half her head is shaved for some reason, her boyfriend is like a 120lb nerdy videogame guy, and they have a "open relationship" where she is allowed to hook up with other guys, but he is not allowed to be with other girls. We are so fucked. These people will be running the world in like 10 years...
lmao, i wished this was on YT to watch her being triggered.
I have discussed the issue with both pro-choice and pro-life advocates. I believe it should be a legal option available. However, I know women who are still haunted by an abortion they had for some major reason, but also women who have had 4 abortions and feel nothing about it. The latter tend to be really unstable chicks no one would want around.
I am pro-choice, but in my personal life I am pro-life. Nowadays there are a zillion different conceptive methods available, if you play safe the chances of getting pregnant are low.
The issue here is that in many Latin American countries having an abortion lands you in jail (I can provide data about this, although afaik this isnt the case in Argentina) so you have raped 10 year olds having babies and the sole idea of a 10 year old being forced to give birth makes me sick. Definitely, context matters.
"I am pro-choice, but in my personal life I am pro-life"
That is EXACTLY what I am talking about. I am the same way. In my life and family, I am pro-life. I am not going to get an abortion, but if a stranger want's to kill their own baby, that is on them and none of my business.
