Everything about this completely insane. Even from the perspective of standard operating procedure for police.
0:25 The guy had already started some sort of verbal altercation with the cops, and the female cop in the back has tunnel vision on the dog caught in the door to the point that she actually walks her dumb ass all the way over to let the dog in. By the time she even notices there's anything wrong, the guy has already had the knife out for nearly 3 seconds.
0:33 She then decides run, stop, grab her radio, and then run back outside of the store, abandoning her partner. Meanwhile, her partner backs herself into a corner with the chilled out sandwich maker/cashier behind the counter. Apparently they stood there for some time in a standoff, because the video cuts.
0:54 The part-time sandwich artist, and now-apparent elite hostage rescue operator, goes for the clutch 200 IQ play by peacefully disarming the guy with a bait & switch trade-off, as the cop behind the counter stands there utilizing her expert training (fully justifying her cost to the taxpayer by her mere presence).
1:00 The now unarmed dude decides it's probably best if he heads out. The previously skittish partner decides that, since the guy is now less a big knife, it's a smart time to draw her gun, and stand in front of the only exit.
1:10 The guy, clearly reinvigorated by the sight of the weapon, walks right through her. In the process, he puts his hands all over her and near the drawn weapon. She turns to face the street, her back to the wall, again trapping herself as the guy continues to walk her down.
1:18 Now that the cavalry has arrived, and the guy is focused on pushing the nearest officer to him, our ever brave female officer is screaming her head off, and shoots the guy as he turns away from her. SHE PICKS THE PERFECT TIME TO DO IT, TOO. You can tell because one of her colleagues is standing DIRECTLY behind the guy at the precise moment she shoots.
tl;dr A bodega clerk is somehow a better cop than 5 armed, trained officers. And also, _______ ________ _________ __ ____. Both those females put a lot of lives in danger, probably moreso than the crazy knifeman.

I didn't understand the blank lines in the tl;dr. What does that mean?
