I'm saddened by this but I understand it. They are probably posturing for their ethics hearing. As attorneys they are going to be called in front of a professional ethics panel (one guess what kind of lawyer sits on those), and then the panel will decide if they get to keep their law licenses or not.

P.S. Yes, I am aware of how incredibly corrupted to the core all of our institutions have become. In the case of the bar our work needs to start with fixing the law schools, and I'm quietly doing what I can on that front.
